Hello all! I'm new to the Stroup list and wanted to post my ancestors. My GGG grandfather was James Rankin Stroup, b. 1844 in Madison County, Ohio, married Martha Haskell 1844. I have accumulated quite a bit of info on James. James' father wasWilliam Stroup, b. unknown, in Madison County, Ohio; married Carolyn Rankin 1843. William's father was John Stroup, b. unknown, in Pennsylvania, married Rebecca Grimes (b. in Kentucky). Well, that's the end of my story so far.
