Are there any researchers of the Strope spelling of the surname? Especially in the area of Greene Co., PA in a time period from 1790? I have some of the descendants of John Strope b. 1750 in PA but nothing previous. Census takers often spelled the name both Strope and Stroup, but Amelia Strope Tuttle's will and pension applications spell it Strope.
