I'm not sure where he fits into the Strong families. Flu is a mess! Leaves everyone sort of limp. I have a little bit of new maybe exciting information. I have taken a quite look at some of the web indexes for Samuel Strong and William Glenn since they are new to me. From ancestry.com: Scotch-Irish in VA, Vol 2 January 7, 1786 Greenbrier Co VA marriage George Hutchenson and Mary Campbell, d of James Campbell, surety W Urquhart, witness Samuel STRONG This is the first reference I have found that a Strong lived in Greenbrier at the same time as a Joseph Casteel and a William Casteel. Do you know of any more? Could this be the same Samuel that married Jenny Casteel, d of Joseph and Margaret of Russell Co? This Samuel Strong would have to be born prior to 1765 to be of age to witness this marriage. My library has a good selection of books on Greenbrier so I will get myself there and check for other records on Strong family. Of course, I am hoping to make a connection from Greenbrier Co to Russell Co. Jean Brown's book says yes.....but she doesn't say why she believes it! I haven't found anything with promise yet on William Glenn who had a wife Rosanna. Hope you continue to feel better..... Leoneita --part0_913667358_boundary--
