I have been attempting to fit the references from Nathan Strong to my records, and most agree, but I have fewer of the later generations. However, as to the location of the marriage of Thomas Strong and Phoebe Steward, my records show it was in Durham (ref: CT Vital data from the FHC vol TR361). I hope this helps. I have been trying to fit my ancestor, William Augustus Strong into these Durham Strongs. According to his war record, he was born in Durham in 1783. Don't seem to fit the Thomas/Phoebe family unless one of the girls had an illegitimate child. He married a Durham girl, Abigail Crane. Several of Abigail's family migrated to New York State. A Nathan Strong pledged as a Freeman in 1803 according to Fowler's "History of Durham". Do you suppose Nathan s/o Nathan and Eunice was back in Durham for this period? I am looking for any Durham data on Strongs, Cranes and Camps. Regards, Ralph
