Probably farm laborer. >DESCENT FROM EARLIEST STRONG ANCESTOR: GENERATION 02: John Strong, Jr., was born bef. 24 NOV 1698 in St. Peter's Parish, probably New Kent Co., VA; he died before 1751, probably St. Martin's Parish, Hanover Co, VA; m. probably Mary __?__, before 1730. Mary Strong relocated to Goochland County, VA, with her son, John Strong, III. Her last known record there was dated 1787. GENERATION 03: Martin Strong was born about 1730 or earlier in Hanover Co., VA; he died about 1780-1781, Hanover Co., VA; married Ann Stanley, daughter of John Stanley, "the eldest" of Cedar Creek, Hanover County, VA, about late 1753 in Hanover Co., VA, apparently in the Church of England. Ann Stanley Strong was excommunicated from the Society of Friends (Quakers) for marrying a non-Quaker. Ann Stanley Strong relocated to Goochland Co., VA, about 1781. Her last known record in Goochland Co. was in 1803. She may have gone to Buckingham Co., VA, with her son, John Strong, and died there after the 1810 census. GENERATION 04: Mastin Strong, born about 1774, probably St. Martin's Parish, Hanover Co., VA; d. 31 JAN 1866, Randolph (now Cleburne) Co., AL; m. (2) Rebecca McCormack ("McCormic") about 1803-1806 in Buckingham Co., VA. Rebecca was the mother of all of his identified children. They resided Roane, Jefferson, and Bradley Counties, Tennessee, and Randolph / Cleburne County, Alabama. Mastin was survived by Rebecca, who filed for a pension as the widow of a War of 1812 veteran. Her pension application file provides much information. She died after 1870 when she was enumerated in Calhoun County, AL. GENERATION 05: Samuel C. Strong, born about 1810-1813, Roane Co, TN; died after 1880, probably Cleburne Co., AL; married Sarah Morrison, 7 FEB 1833, in TN. GENERATION 06: John Allen Strong (b. 21 MAR 1838, Randolph (now Clebourne) Co., AL; d. 28 May 1901, Fayetteville, Talledega Co., AL; m. Louisa Smith, 25 Sept 1856, Tallapoosa Co, AL. They were the parents of 10 children. John Allen Strong was a farmer, as were all his known ancestors. GENERATION 07: Oma L. Strong, b.1861, m. Joel H. Winslett, 28 SEP 1877, Talladega Co., AL, had 12 children. GENERATION 08: George H. Winslett, b. May 22, 1894; d. 1973; m. Ethel W. _?_, living. GENERATION 09: Betty A.
