Both Hiram and his wife, Rebecca, were reported to be born about 1809 in TN. As of 1850, their children were: John, b. abt. 1832 in IL; Eli, b. 1833 in IL; Mary, b. abt. 1836 in MO; Andrew, b. abt. 1838 in MO; Nancy, b. abt. 1840 in MO; James, b. 1841 in MO; Moses, b. abt. 1844 in MO; Margaret, b. abt. 1846 in MO; and Sarah, b. abt. 1849 in MO. I do not know who Hiram's parents were, what Rebecca's name was, where in TN Hiram and Rebecca were born and lived, when and where they were married, or when and where they migrated to in IL.
