================================================================= After posting my earlier message about David Strong and Peter Strong, I located the pages from Dwight's genealogy of the Strong family that I had photocopied about Peter Strong. Found on Pages 796 and 797. Dwight reported he was a son of Daniel Strong and Esther Chappell, and descended from Jedediah Strong. Peter Strong was born 14 JUL 1764 and died in Fayetteville, NC, on 27 JUN 1797. He was a jeweler. He married Mary McKay. She married second Frank Shackelford, Esq., of Charleston, SC. She died 4 FEB 1846 at Fayetteville. Children of Peter Strong and Mary McKay: 1. Lydia Ann Strong, b. 12 NOV 1792, married Charles Rhodes Two children and two gandchildren named. 2. John McKay Strong, "Major", b. 12 AUG 1796, married Eliza Beebe. He relocated to Selma, Alabama, where he served as Postmaster, Justice of the Peace, and first Mayor. In 1869 he was living and residing near Montevallo, Alabama. Seven children named. "Bob T." Robert T. Strong, Jr. 119 Mystic Way Madison, Al 35757-8801
