    3. Hi Connie... Thanks for the reponse... Some of what you are telling me is hanging together... 1) Aunt Kate's anecdotal evidence about being from Co. Donegal. 2) Info separately received by copies of correspondance between Thelma Southern and Dale G. Strong, to the effect that Dale believed your Strongs were from Co. Donegal. If you don't know Dale, he is descended from a family of Strongs that settled in Morgan County, Ohio... see the Lineages Directory for more... also, Dale Strong, Tom Strong, Sr. (copy addressees) and I believe we are related back in Co. Donegal, so you and I may be "cousins" also... it's just a question of tieing the facts down {:-)! 3) The Donegal Strongs were generally Church of Ireland (Anglican)... that ties with being of English descent, and also with your anecdotal evidence... (There were a few who were Methodists at the time of emigration (Dale's family), but the Methodists started as a reform movement in the Anglican religion, and there were Methodists preachers active in Donegal ... so the Methodists tie in also.) 4) The Prudence Elliott info... subject to verification, my memory seems to dredge up the fact there were Elliotts in Donegal.... Look in Tirhugh Barony, Drumholm, Kilbarron and Templecarne Parishes and those parishes adjoining... I think Patty Horton (copy addressee) may be able to help confirm this... Tom Strong, Sr (copy addressee) may also be able to help.... Keep the info flowing... we may get there yet!! Regards, David B.
