I start this e-mail out stating that I am not a "worry wort". Nor am I trying to add to the Y2K Bug worries. But I would like to remind everyone that the Year 2000 is quickly approaching. I would like to remind people to start doing "FULL" backups of all their geneology data that they have on their computers. We all have worked hard to get where we are at today only to loose it because we didn't have a hard backup. This includes Websites and information that you have stored on your computer. It is a good idea to print out every item that you have on your websites, your hard drives, and on floppy disk. No one really knows what will happen when the clock hits midnight on December 31,1999. But if something does happen you will have all of your hard searched info on paper. Most of us have fixed our computers and software to be Y2K Compliant. But what happens if your ISP, or your website server goes down? You may loose those websites. Now please remember, I am not trying to start a panic. All I want people to do is to back up all their geneology research information. If you need more info on this please e-mail me directly so we don't overload the Strong Servers.
