Hi All, We had a wonderful and informative time in the land of my STRONG ancestors. NY and MA are beautiful this time of year. All though the leaves had not completely changed color. We are making arrangements to return next year. We had the pleasure meeting some very nice helpful people while hunting for cemeteries and records. E-mail [email protected] In Rodman, NY we found Gulf Stream Cemetery to be in somewhat of a mess. Due to vandals and a storm on Labor Day week - end. To think I was able to stand on the stone mill floor of my Great Great Grand Father Nathan STRONG. I can now understand why he moved to Rodman, NY. We stopped at the house in front of the Mill asking for permission to take pictures of the Mill. The young lady who came to the door told us they had just moved there three weeks earlier, but heard the mill and tannery to have belonged to Nathan Strong many years ago. A check of the records provided this to be true! The Bridge Street Cemetery (place of JOHN STRONG stone marker) in Northampton, Ma has so many beautiful STRONG tombstones. We hope to record more next year. Deerfield Historical section was somewhat of a disappointment for us. They know nothing of the Chair of Gov. E. STRONG of Ma.
