Hi Gerald... And Everyone Else Thanks for the suggestion. I have added it to the start of a draft of a new HTML page.... Yet to be named, and to be built on and around the Position Paper I floated yesterday. I hope to gather additional suggestions as we go along, with the thought that the page could be posted where it might be viewed from time to time by new and old members alike. My concept is something like having a Mission Statement and a Policy Statement giving further Guidance to members of the Strong-List and the Strong Genealogy Network. I took a further look at BoB's Strong Quest Table of Contents Page, and it contains a lot of good sound introductory information. However, what I have in mind is something that would underpin the existing procedural rules, etc., and give them some "meaning". They have grown, rather like Topsy, through experience and necessity. Most of us understand why they are there. The Mission Statement would be an attempt to verbalize that for everyone. One of the reasons I feel this should be done is that I don't see anyone on the horizon who can/will fill BoB's shoes. I don't have the time, and I am afraid I don't have the "savoir fair" for the job. {:-) We need something to take the place of BoB... and the above is my proposal to do that. I hope others will join in with their suggestions. I don't propose to make this a "big deal"... however, over time I hope the Mission Statement can be discussed, refined, and come to be used in explaining why and how we do things... Any more ideas out there???? As a Post Script to BoB and Theresa...
