    3. Here is the info on ELLIOTTS in lower Donegal, say from Ballyshannon to Inver, in Griffiths (1850s): OS Map Townland Name 103 ALLA Joseph Elliott George Elliott William Elliott 103 BALLYSHANNON Bishop St. Ann Elliott (lodgers) Castle St. John Elliott Back St. Anne Elliott College St. Edward Elliott East Port John Elliott 107&110 ARDLOUGHILL James and John Elliott 98 RANEELY James Elliott, sr. and jr. Jane Elliott 98 & 99 DRUMCOE Hugh Elliott 94 CRAIGROE Francis Elliott 99 DRUMGOWAN Wm. Elliott 101,102 & 105 DRUMAWARK Jas. & John Elliott Now, in the 1901 census there were still Elliotts in the area as follows: Townland Name Religion ALLA Thomas Elliott & fam. Meth KNADER Eliz, Robt & Wm. Elliott LURGAN James Elliott Meth TRUMMAN EAST Wm. Elliott Episc LAGHY Francis Elliott Episc DRUMBEAG Hugh Elliott Episc RANEELY Wm. & John Elliott Episc A decent amount of Elliotts around! Unfortunately, so many that perhaps this is of less help than hoped. I did not see (in Griffiths) any Strongs in the same townlands. However, I did not have the time nor the proper maps to check contiguous townlands. Suffice it to say, however, they both were in the area. Hope this helps. I don't think I replied to this in the correct way but hope you will excuse. Patty Horton ---Pat Horton <[email protected]> wrote: > > Just read your message on Elliotts and Donegal.
