Please follow me on this: I had the following in my database a couple of weeks ago: Parents of John Warham Strong, b. 30 Sep 1706 were John Strong, Jr., b. 1665 and Hannah Trumbull. Then, I read in the SFA Strong Family History Update, Vol. III, page 12, where John Strong, Jr., b. 1665, was NOT married to Hannah Trumbull, instead, was married to Mary Pinney. HOWEVER, John Warham Strong was not listed a one of their children. So, I wrote to you and asked for help in determining who his parents were. You wrote back on 18 Sep to inform me that his parents were: Lt. Return Strong, Jr. and Elizabeth Burrell. Then, I find, on page 20, OF THE SAME VOLUME III, of the SFA Strong Family History Update, that John Warham Strong, b. 30 Sep 1706 was a son of John Strong, Jr and HANNAH TRUMBULL. This book contradicts itself in this matter; and, none of the data found on page 12 or page 20 confirms your suggestion that John Warham Strong's parents were Lt. Return Strong, Jr. and Elizabeth Burrell (Burritt). Please, can you shed some light on this. Which is correct. Who were the parents of John Warham Strong? Also, on page 449 of the same Vol III (SFA History update), it shows the following: "Noah Griswold III is also a descendant of Elder John Strong: (Per History of the Strong Family, by, B. Dwight) 1-1 Elder John Strong and Abigail Ford. 2-3 John Strong, Jr. and Mary Clark 3-41 John Strong and Hannah Trumbull 4-56 John Warham Strong and Azubah Griswold, etc. Now, John Strong who supposedly married Hannah Trumbull (as per above) was a son of John Strong and ELIZABETH WARRINER, not Mary Clark. Still, Mr. Dwight suggests that John Warham Strong was a son of John Strong and Hannah Trumbull. This, of course, was *supposed to be corrected* by Vol. III, page 12: "This John Strong DID NOT marry Hannah Trumble [sic] as stated in the Strong History. Hannah (Smith) Trumble was in fact his step-mother. Again, on this page 12, John Warham Strong was NOT listed as one of the children of John Strong and Mary Pinney.....so, please, who WERE his parents? I look forward to your response.
