I thought so too, that the males of a direct line of Strong is preferred. {:-) Sure glad to hear that everyone is paying attention to this subject.... and perhaps I could have been a bit clearer about the subject.... but to make a point, this is copied from the text below: "The DNA Study has certain limitations dictated by the technology involved. Not everyone will be able to join the study, but perhaps they will have a male LeStrange-Strange-Strang-Stronge-Strong relative who can join the study. Please try to enlist volunteers from any of these lines in the study. " Yes... it does have to be a male Strong, etc., who is tested for the Y-DNA test. BUT, if you are female, and have a male Strong husband, brother, father, uncle, cousin, you can work with that male individual by having him volunteer as a test subject. The point here is that there are many women who would like to persue this subject, and have a male relative who is not as actively interested, but willing to cooperate. Try to enlist these volunteers. Pay for the tests if you have to. Act as the intermediary if they don't have email. Push to do the followup, make sure things happen. Of course, I am NOT advising you to be nags! {:-) But I hope the point is being made. This study is for everyone... in terms of the perameters of what we are trying to prove. And, while it may not be possible for everyone to be a study participant, there are lots of opportunities out there to help the study along! Enough said???
