Concerning the Strong Study, If perhaps the results from the lines could be published somewhere on the web site, it would be informative for the people who don't have any Strong males in their immediate family. (they'll be able to tell if they are directly related or not, by tracing back). I do know that I'm related to John Elder (history has been traced), but as my grandmother's maiden name was Strong and her brothers didn't have any children, I can't participate (I don't have any male Strongs in my line, and, if so, they are so far removed that I can't find them anymore). This could help a lot of people, or if an alternate test could be purposed for those of us who are female and have no male Strong relatives, it would be appreciated. Thank you, Kay
Hi Kay... Thanks for your interest in the DNA Study. It is early days for our study, and we don't yet have results to post on the web. However, we fully intend to publish the results. I suggest you take a look at the following "Test Results" page from the Hull family DNA Study for an example of how the results may be posted: http://www.hullsurnamednastudy.com/testresults1a.htm You will note on the Test Results page a link to pedigree charts for the haplotype groups which are found as a result of the test. The results should be VERY interesting when we get that far! {:-) The more test volunteers who sign up from the various lineages, the sooner we are likely to be able to produce something like this for the benefit of all. Please encourage participation where-ever possible!
