Phinehas, b.Aug 16, 1817, son of Phinehas Strong and Anne Field studied medicine at Castleton, VT and at Albany, NY where he graduated in 1839; practised medicine in Pawlet for 7 years and after 1846 in Buffalo, NY. Appointed Prof. in the Medical Dept. of Howard Univ. in 1869. He m. in 1844 Eliza Ann Andrus.
