Hello, Stephanie Although our Strong lines don't connect (mine is from Cardiff, Wales emigrating to Michigan in the1860s), I may be able to help you with your home schooling and genealogy query. Take a look at the NEH (National Endowment for the Humanities) website. There are some lesson plans for "My History is America's History" - to state the obvious the idea is to use one's family history to tell the story of the country's history.
