I am trying to prove/disprove that my Ralph Bernard STRONG, born 18 May 1857 in Ohio and living in Texas before 1877 may be part of the family below: Per the 1850 census: Strong, David B age 31 born NY Strong, Betsy Ann age 31 Born VA Strong, John A. age 8 born OH Strong, George age 6 born OH Strong, Henry age 4 born OH Strong, Hannah age 2 born OH Per the 1860 census: Strong, David age 40 Farmer born NY Strong, Lenora age 28 Born Ohio <----Second wife??? Strong, John age 18 Printers Apprentice Born Ohio Strong, George age 16 born Ohio Strong, Henry age 14 born Ohio Strong, Francis(Frank) age 7 born Ohio Strong, Ella age 4 born Ohio Strong, Ralph age 2 born Ohio Strong, Mary age 12 born Ohio Per the 1870 census: Strong, David B age 52 Farmer b NY Strong, Leanora A age 40 born OH Strong, Frank A age 17 born OH Strong, Charles A age 11 born OH Strong, Fred age 9 born OH Strong, Alice M age 5 born OH (Notice that there is NO 12 year old son named Ralph, but there is an 11 year old Charles) In 1880, I can NOT find David and Leanora or oldest sons John or George. As noted, my ancestor is a RALPH STRONG born in Ohio during this time frame, but if he is indeed the son of David Strong, I can't account for him in 1870.
