I am attempting to determine the relationships among the Strongs of Gorrie/Howick and have read some conflicting records. I would appreciate any help that might clarify things. My GGGrandfather(William Strong 1779-1863) is buried in Gorrie cemetery as are his wife and a number of his relatives. One person buried there is a John Strong (1790-1871) who is probably his brother. John had a daughter Margaret (1830-1915) who married John Hiram Shaw Strong (1840?-1871). JHSStrong appears to have been the son of William. He was born on a boat in 1840? on his way to Canada. One of John and Mary's children-William G Strong is also buried in the Gorrie cemetery. Anyone have comments on the above?..............Don Strong
