Janet... I was going thru my old messages, and came across this one of yours... I took a look in my Irish Strong BMD Index: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~donegalstrongs/bmdindex.htm#M ARRIAGE There is a marriage record for a William Strong in County Cavan in 1873 and another one in 1875. I don't know who either of these gentlemen married, but see the Aid To Researchers section of the webpage re methods of ordering an uncertified copy of the original record of the marriages, which WOULD show who they married. If you follow up on this, please let me know what you find. Note, in the Irish Strong Database http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~donegalstrongs/cavan.htm under County Cavan, there is a record of a marriage of a William James Stronge for 1872Jul2, to Ellen Irwin Berry, which MAY be one of the same records as shown above in the BMD Index... if so, it's not a match... but you may want to check it out anyway. Somehow, I don't think it relates to either of the BMD Index records. Also, I am copying this message to Ordella McIntyre Park, who is something of an expert re the Cavan Strongs... maybe she will be able to help. I guess a preliminary question is, do you know WHERE Wm. T. Strong and Margaret MCGOWAN were married?????
