Hi Diane, Many, many thanks for your inquiry from the UK. I guess there must not be that many "Strauss folks" left out here, or at least not many interested in Genealogical Research? In any event, I could certainly after 20-30 years of research use help in researching my ancestors in the 19th century. I have very good documentation for my anecestor David Strouse in NYC with his wife Caroline and two sons (Jacob and Jonas) as documented in the 1860 US Federal Census. I even have a rare recorded birth certificate for son Jacob in 1857 in NYC. I believe the father David died around 1870 of TB. Between 1860-70 I believe a third son David was born. While I have good documentation of my great grandfather Jacob (Jake Strauss) Strouse up until his death in Kansas in the 1940's, I have no further documentation on his two brothers or his mother. I would greatly appreciate any help offered.
