The photograph is dated 20 Sept 1890 and indicates that Charlie is 6 months old at the time. Based on limited research I was able to find the following information regarding Charlie and his family: Charles Rudolph STRAUS was b. 20 Mar 1890 in Portland, OR and was living in Seattle, WA when he registered for the draft in 1917. He was a Clerk at the Seattle Trunk Factory in 1917, married, and listed a weak heart as a health condition on draft records. Charles was married to Fannie B. KIDD (b. Aug 1892 in Belmont Co. OH).
