Hi Diana, Went to Ancestry census and searched on Zachariah Long. Then various versions of Zach,Zak and then just Z. Found Z. long in 1850 census, Ky Shelby District 1. If you do this you will get page 83. The Longs are on page 84. One is shown to be born in PA. In 1840 census I found a John Z. Long and a S.Z Long. Ky, Owen roll 704.122, page 178. 1850 census is written in S. script. Not sure I know what a Z looks like!!!! The first few entries appear to be A. Maybe the census taker didn't know either so he just entered "a Long". Hope this helps some. Sam
