    3. Duhhhh. I just realized you said Edwin was born in Maryland -- not PA. I'm so fixated on Pennsylvania STRAUBs my mind is in a rut. Same suggestions hold, except that the PA census records at my site will probably not be any help to you. In a way you're lucky that Edwin was born in MD.
