Shirley and I are looking for the same woman, Margaret or Mary Stroup. Unfortunately, neither of us have any more to add. I've checked the 1860 census, just before she married Jasper (listed as Joseph) Eoff (listed as AOF in marriage records from Jefferson Co., MO, and have found nothing.
