Kathy, I have a Frederick Straub/Stroup b. ca 1839 who was a brother of my husband's ancestor, John Stroup. In the 1850 census they lived in Greenwood Twp, Juniata Co, Pennsylvania. I believe this Frederick married an Amanda and had children John b. ca 1859 and Priscilla b. 1860 per the 1860 Juniata Co, PA census. Is there a connection here to your Frederick Stroup do you think?
