STRAUB = Nancy CUPP _George Washington STRAUB = Sarah E. CORBIN __Albert Roy STRAUB = Nina WILLIS ___Nina Gale STRAUB = Arthur Robert MATTHIESEN ____moi My brick wall is the parentage of Andrew S. STRAUB, born 1797 in PA, who was in Delaware (now Marion) Co., OH, by 1822. He married first Priscilla CRAWFORD and second Nancy CUPP. He died in 1858 in Waldo, Marion Co., OH. The biggest new leads have come from Nancy Holben, a descendant of Benjamin STRAUB & Elizabeth HAAS. Benjamin shows up in Marion Co. with Andrew and appears to be his brother. Benjamin & Elizabeth married in PA shortly before coming to PA, so the recent revelation that STRAUB, HAAS, GORDON, and WOMER were intermarrying in early Northumberland > then Union > now Snyder Co. gives me hope that, at last, I may know where in PA Andrew came from.
