First I must start by saying "Welcome Back Diana!" I'm really enjoying reading everyone's roll call, and am desperately trying to figure out where I might fit in with you all! Well, here's my line as I know it: Frederick Stroup, born March 1844 somewhere in Pennsylvania, died November 15, 1927 at Cataract, Karthaus Township, Clearfield County, Pa. He married Rebecca "Unknown." They had three known children: 1. Frederick Stroup - born August 1862 and married Myrtie "Unknown." 2. George Benjamin Stroup - born Sept. 6, 1866, died January 2, 1905. He married Anna Margaret Heichel (June 3, 1865 to Feb. 14, 1950) in 1890 and had five children (listed below, this is my direct line). 3. Sarah Stroup born 1868. This is all the info I know on her. The children of George Benjamin Stroup and Anna Margaret Heichel are as follows: 1. Albert Blair Stroup - born March 1892 and married Estelle Michaels. 2. Homer E. Stroup - born May 11, 1895 at Pottersdale, Karthaus Township, Clearfield County, Pa., died Oct. 9, 1973 at Port Allegany, Pa. and married Mildred E. Handley. They had 7 known children. 3. Ross Leslie Stroup - born Sept. 26, 1896 at Pottersdale and died April 1, 1973 at Karthaus. He married Ada Mae Rees and had 5 known children. This is my direct line. 4. Earl C. Stroup - born July 27, 1899 at Cataract, died 1928. 5. George Benjamin Stroup - born May 16, 1905 at Karthaus and died Feb. 16, 1993 at Karthaus. Married Virginia McGonigal. Had three known children.
