In answer to Marlene The only information that I found on Bernard is on a Film# 0466399 at the Family History Center concerning a Clark County, Ohio marriage index showing the marriage of Bernard to Frances Shaw on 24 March 1836. He also shows up in the 1860 Census, but I don't know his location. The name is just on an index list. The other suggestion that I have is to look in Huntingdon County,PA becauseBlair was not a county until 1846. Blair was taken from a part of Huntingdon and a part of Bedford. Because Martinsburg is close to Huntingdon, I would check there first. If I find more information, I will send it to you. Shirley Straub Morton
