    3. You mention a Meachum family! This is important to me because my great great great grandmother's diary refers to a "Prudence MEACUM" married to Amos HURSH (her parents, my g-g-g-g-grandparents) and I have not been able at all to find anything on this person. Why connect this with the Straub list? Because Amos HURSH was the son of Martin HURSH and "Susannah Hogan-Doebler" both of Lycoming and Northumberland counties PA. I was stumped on the "Hogan-Doebler" part until someone helped me make the connection. Susannah turned out to be Susannah HOUGENDOUBLER and her mother was a STRAUB! Now, if there is a connection between the STRAUB family and the MeACHAM (Meacum) family, perhaps I can at last find my missing Prudence Meacum! What is the URL of the Meacham family webpage? Let me know and if they have any HURSH connections. 1. [STRAUB-L] HOUGENDOBLER-STRAUB
    2. Diana Gale Matthiesen
    3. You don't give any dates, so I don't know if this family is in the ballpark for the one you seek, but there was a Joseph HOUGENDOBLER married to a Maria Eva STRAUB. Their family group sheet is at: http://dgmweb.net/genealogy/6/Straub/FGS/JosephHougendobler-MariaEvaStraub.htm Unfortunately, I only know the name of one of their children, a son, Joseph, Jr. The senior Joseph was in the Revolutionary War (Pvt., Capt. James Barber's Company, Lancaster County [PA] Militia), and is in the D.A.R. record books. If you're lucky, maybe someone has gained membership through a daughter, Susanna. 1. [STRAUB-L] George and A. Beightol Straub
    2. The Friend Family
    3. Hi Diana: Did you ever come across in the 1870 U.S. Census of Pennsylvania for my George and A. Beightol Straub? By this time they had their six children that I have listed as Lida Ellen, A. Etta, Ida M., Gordon, Ann, and J. Allen Straub, all born between 1859 to 1869 in Pennsylvania. I know at one time you would keep an eye out for this but I was wondering since it been awhile ago back.
