Great, Wendi! Thanks so much. It is very considerate of you to do the lookup. And now that you've gone to the trouble, I realize that I DO have an index to the 1870 census <aargh!> (on a Heritage Quest CD -- my office is still in chaos due to the recent computer failure, which is not entirely fixed as yet). It's the 1860 Ohio census that I have no index to. There is one published (in 1979 by Lida Flint Harshman), but it isn't available online or on CD, and I don't have access to a hard copy. If anyone does have access, it would be nice to snag George in the 1860 census, hopefully still living with his parents or possibly as a newlywed (he was married in August of 1860).
