Hi Everyone, I am new to the list and to STRAUB research. Actually, I am not sure that STRAUB belongs on my family tree and was wondering if anyone on the list has information about Barbara STRAUB, who was Charles STRAUB's daughter? She's listed as Mrs. Jacob STEFFEN in FISHER's book, Probate and Orphan Court Records of Snyder Co., PA, 1772-1855. I'd like to know about Jacob and Barbara's children. Did they have a daughter named Mary? My ancestor married Mary STEFFEY, and the following information is given about her in a FRANTZ family history: "John FRANTZ was married in what was at that time a part of Union (now Snyder) county to Mary STEFFEY, who was born in Union county, daughter of Jacob STEFFEY, and died in 1843. She was buried at Richfield, Union county. Mrs. FRANTZ was a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal Church." I would appreciate any help or suggestions. Best Regards, Lola Allen

I have Jacob and Barbara's daughter, Polly as being married to John Frantz. She was one of their nine children as follows: Jacob, John, George, Samuel, Catherine, Polly, Barbara, Elizabeth and Susan. I am related through John Steffen. My great aunt's baptism certificate has her name written as Steffy. I have much information on the Straub and Steffen families.
