Surnames: Strack, Woodell, Brossart Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ZAQBAEB/67 Message Board Post: Miami Lakes, Fla. — Mark Burton Strack, born on May 7, 1964, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., died of natural causes at his home in Miami Lakes, Fla., on Monday, Feb. 2, 2004. Mark graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1982 and Hebron Academy in 1983. He attended Plymouth State College and graduated from the University of Arizona in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in business. He was an advertising salesman for Clear Channel, Inc. in Miami, Fla. Survivors include his parents, John and Marty Strack of Plattsburgh; his maternal grandmother, Audrey Woodell of Hudson Falls; his sister, Kate Strack; a brother, Mike Strack and his wife Annett; and his sister, Mary Beth Brossart and her husband Steve, all of Tucson, Ariz. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Mark's leisure time was spent playing a competitive game of golf with his dad or friends. He valued time spent with his family, loved Lake Placid in the summer and occasionally would climb a mountain to view Lake Placid from the top. While in Florida he enjoyed many professional sporting events and deep sea fishing. He leaves behind many friends who will remember him for his quick wit and his famous hot fudge sundae sauce. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. from St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be later in the year at St. Agnes Cemetery in Lake Placid. Donations may be made in his memory to Special Olympics.
