I have been researching the family for some years. I have a Thomas Stowell from Warks born in 1714 and also his father John and mother Mary also from Warks. I have found it impossible to go any further back. The family were Catholic and also seem to have acquired a D'Eyncourt to their name in the nineteenth century.
