The man who lived in my house was George Abner Stowell. My house was bulit in 1920 and George lived in Azusa before that. He is listed in the census as a nephew with a Caroline Davidson who is widowed living with her two daughters Irene B and Louise N in Illinois in 1910. She is the daughter of Cyrus Alexander Stowell of Peru, MA and Juliaette Hannum. Both of her parents died in South Deerfield. Her middle name comes from her grandmother. Three of her brothers were in the Civil War. Two died (Spottsylvania and Port Hudson), the other returned to South Deerfield after serving for 3 years. Cyrus Alexander Stowell was a member of the Mass. House of Reps in 1863. Hope this helps. Anything interesting in her journal?
