He was born in 1830 the son of Godfrey D. Stout. He married Mary Dunn. They had three sons and he died just after the third sons birth. The wife married John T. Johnson and they eventually went to Texas. Nicholas was my GGGGrandfather. Also some folks list a daughter for Nicholas. But there is no census record for such a person. The three sons were Joe B., Meridith McDaniel (my GGGrandfather), and Jacob N.. Meridith (Dan) stayed in Texas, Jacob went back to Tn.. I don't recall where Joe went. Any help is welcomed.
