From the Olean (NY) Times-Herald Thursday, 3 August 1939 Nye Rites Will Be Held Saturday BELMONT - Passing away at the farm on which she was born, Mrs. Elizabeth Ruth Stout Nye, died Tuesday afternoon at the hom of her daughter, Mrs. G. Larue Sears on the Belmont-Friendship road, midway between the two villages. Funeral services have been arranged to be held there Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, to be conducted by the Rev. J. E. Thompson, Pastor of the Belmont Baptist Church, of which Mrs. Nye was a member. Burial will be in the Friendship Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Nye was born September 22, 1862. She was a daughter of the late James M. and Helen Corbin Stout. She had resided all her life on farms near her birthplace. Besides the daughter mentioned, Mrs. Nye is survived by one son, Earl J. Nye of Belmont; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was married to William A. Nye, January 25, 1882. Mr Nye died two years ago.
