A lot of you have asked how I got the books I have sent out, when I started working on my genealogy full time when I retired a few years ago, had to find a economical way to do it as I am now on a fixed income. First you have to be willing to share and be cheap, or frugal. I tried out Ancestry.Com, Genealogy.com when they had a free trial but found them very expensive. Outside of the free sites the best one I found was Godfrey Library, has a lot of site to access, Heritage Quest and others, A lot of you have it available now from your local library. However I live in a small town in New Mexico and my library does not have it. So I joined, the cost is reasonable $35.00/year.. When I see a book I might be interested in I check with them at their site and there is a good chance they have it. If it is 100 pages or less I download and print it out later. I built up a very fine library. Also a good place to start looking for books you might be interest in is the auction site! ebay.com. When I find a book there I note the author and go to Godrey and check the author in many cases he is listed and has more than one book of interest. That is how I found the books I have shared with. Forgive my rambling but I wanted to answer the question of where I found them. Jack
