The following obituary appeared in the June 27, 2001, edition of the News Guard of Lincoln City, Oregon: Frank H. Stout Frank Hughes Stout, 84, died Tuesday, June 19, 2001 at his residence in Otis. Mr. Stout was born July 23, 1916 in Rayden, Okla. On March 2, 1940, he married Edna Marie Garretson, having 50-plus years together until her passing on Jan. 13, 1991. Frank moved to Lincoln City in 1978 from Canby, Ore. after retiring from The Oregon Steel Mill. Survivors include his sister, Rebecca Buller of Enid, Okla.; his daughter, Leta Weldon of Otis; his sons, William and Les of Portland, Ore. and Dennis of Redmond, Ore.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held Monday, June 25, at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Pacific View Memorial Chapel, Lincoln City, handled the arrangements.
