The following obituary appeared in the June 8, 2000, edition of the Latimer County (Oklahoma) News-Tribune: STOUT Services for Ruth Juanita Stout, 72, of Falfa, were held at graveside June 5, at Laura-McGee Cemetery in Buffalo Valley. Rev. Carrol Fitzgerald officiated. Mrs. Stout was born April 13, 1928 at Albion, OK, and passed away June 1, 2000, at the Choctaw Nation Care Center, Talihina. She was the daughter of Allen Rose and Sarah Jane McClard. She was of the Protestant faith. She had lived in this area all her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mark Stout; a daughter, Ruth Diane Stout; two brothers, Dan Rose and Arthur Sonny Rose; five sisters, Oma Stout, Helen Rose, Bessie Couch, Rebecca Rose and Dessie Rose. Survivors include a son, Skipper Stout, Falfa, OK; a daughter, Janie Stout, Falfa, OK; two sisters, Onita Maxwell, Talihina, OK and Eula Steens, Borger, TX; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and numerous friends and loved ones.
