The following obituary appeared in the September 19, 2001, edition of the Hutchinson (Kansas) News: William L. 'Bill' Stout WARDEN, Wash. - William L. "Bill" Stout, 68, died Sept. 16, 2001, at his home. He was born Sept. 26, 1932, in Hazelton, the son of Charles and Faye Shannon Stout. He graduated from Hazelton High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, receiving the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, China Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of Moses Lake Christian Church, and served as an elder for the past five years and oversaw the senior ministries. Survivors include: his wife; three sons; four daughters; a brother, Ralph, Hazelton; three sisters, Phyllis Brunsteter, Alva, Okla., Barb DeMint, Hazelton, and Donna Shroyer, Sterling; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Owls Senior Center, Hazelton. Arrangements are with Kayser's Chapel of Memories, Moses Lake, Wash.
