The following obituary appeared in the November 29, 2001, edition of the Lancaster (Pennsylvania) New Era: Lovina Ware Stout, 89, volunteer Lovina Ware Stout, 89, of ManorCare Health Services, 320 S. Market St., Elizabethtown, died there of natural causes Nov. 17. She had lived at ManorCare since 1996. Mrs. Stout was a volunteer at Elizabethtown Public Library. She enjoyed flowers and books. She moved to Elizabethtown from Havertown in 1956. Born in Hazard, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Frisby Ware. She was the wife of the late John R. Stout. Surviving are a daughter, Sarah C. of Santa Fe, N.M., and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John Paul.
