The following obituary appeared in the August, 7, 2001, edition of the Sherman (Texas) Herald Democrat: Mrs. Flonnie A. Cook Gordonville -- Mrs. Flonnie A. Cook, age 86, of Gordonville, Texas passed away on August 5, 2001 in Whitesboro, Texas. She was born on March 4, 1915 to B.J. and Minnie (Jackson) Stout in Bell County, Texas. She married James Robbie Cook in McKinney, Texas in 1937. She was an LVN nurse in Whitesboro and most recently with Collinsville Nursing Homes. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sherwood Shores in Gordonville, Texas. She is survived by her sister, Emma Fitch, of Dallas and numerous nieces, and nephews. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, James Cook, in June of this year. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Oleta Peters. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, Aug 8, 2001 at, Stoney Point Cemetery in Melissa, with the Reverend Jolly Terry officiating. Visitation will be held from 7 - 9 P.M., Tuesday, Aug 7, 2001, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
