In the census records of 1850 and 1860 for Montgomery Twp., Somerset county NJ., his neighbors include a Sarah Stout and her son Josiah, born 1834 in Somerset county. Josiah is my ggrandfather, but I have yet to discover the identity of his father and how he might connect to the many other Stouts in the area.
