This Obituary was found among papers of D.Blaine Stout. The newspaper clipping was not named or dated. FINAL RITES HELD FOR MRS. ELLEN S. STOUT Final rites were held in the Cedar Creek Baptist church Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Ellen Snyder Stout, wife of J.S. Stout, of Cedarville, who died Saturday, April 17, at the age of 85 years. Interment was made in the Cedarville cemetary. A short service was held at the home of a son, Russell Stout, at Lost Creek, Harrison county, where she died of pneumonia. The Rev. Josiah Payne and the Rev. E.F.Loofboro conducted the service. Mrs. Stout had been an invalid the past two years. Mrs. Stout was born in Gilmer county February 26, 1852, a daughter of Jacob and Anna Snyder. She was married November 29, 1878, to John Stump Stout. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at Jackson's Mill in 1928. Surviving are the husband and the following children: D. Blaine Stout, Cartersville, Virginia; Roy Stout, Flemington; Mrs. Warder Bailey, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Homer Norris, Mt. Airy Md.; and Russell Stout, Lost Creek.
