The following appeared in the June 16, 2000, edition of the Washington (DC) Post: Cecil Maness Stout Air Conditioning Contractor Cecil Maness Stout, 85, who owned and operated Contractor Air Conditioning of Falls Church from 1965 to 1995, died June 13 at the Fairfax Nursing Center of a stroke. Mr. Stout, a resident of Falls Church, was born in Montgomery County, N.C., and attended Mars Hill College. During World War II he served in the Army. He settled in the Washington area after the war and was an electrician and refrigeration specialist with Hot Shoppes before he went into business for himself. His wife, Cleo Pauline Stout, died in 1973.
