Lawrence was adopted by his GrandFather or just took his GrandFather's name, which was Lawrence's Mother's Father. Eddie was Lawrence's Mother's Husband. We have been told by family that Eddie was from Putnam County Tennessee. He could have been from Ft. Wayne Indiana.
