The following appeared in The Journal-News (Hamilton OH), Saturday, July 17, 1999, Page A2 - Rudolph "Rudy" Edison Stout, Sr., of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away on July 16, 1999, at Mercy Hospital, at the age of 75. Rudy was a well-known builder and carpenter in the Butler County area. He developed his building trade skills while working for the C.C.C. during the depression. He also was a World War II veteran, serving with the United States Army Tank Corp at Camp Polk, Louisiana. He is survived byhis beloved and dedicated wife, Dorothy M. Stout of Hamilton. Together they had an extended family that included fifteen children. He is survived by three sons, Dennis Stout of Ft. Meyers, Florida, Ronald (Stasia) Stout of Hamilton and Rick (Debbie) Stout of Hamilton; four daughters, Dolly (Leroy) Carter of New Carlisle, Indiana, Nancy Stout of Naples, Florida, Tonda Steele of Hamilton and Sonya (Paul) Cox of Hamilton; two step-sons, Charles (Sharon) Steele, Jr., of Chesapeake, Virginia and Frederick (Diane) Steele of Hamilton; and five step-daughters, Mary Williams of Irvin, Kentucky, Ogielene (Ronald) Withrow of Hamilton, Geraldine Butler of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Eileen (George) Dell of Hamilton and Barbara (Charles0 Gharding of Dayton, Florida; several grandchildren and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Putnam Stout and Grace (Neal) Stout and his son, Rudolph Stout, Jr. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park. If desired, memorials may be made of Hospice of Cincinnati.
