The following obituary appeared in the February 2, 2001, edition of the Salisbury (North Carolina) Post: John T. Stout John T. Stout, 64, St. Petersburg, Fla., a Salisbury native, died Jan. 1, 2001, at his home. Mr. Stout was a son of the late John T. and Myrtle Hand Stout. He was educated in the Rowan County schools. Survivors include sons Johnny and Heath Stout, both of Decatur, Ala.; brother Gerald Stout, Okeechobee, Fla.; sisters Connie s. Webb, Granite Quarry, and Patricia S. Allred, Archdale; and two grandchildren. A memorial service was held Feb. 1. Abbey Parklawn Funeral Home was in charge.
