Perhaps this is your Charity Stout. I have a Peter Stout, b 6-16-1769 in Orange Co. NC, who married a Charity Barns (Barnes) about 1798. I have Charity Barns Stout's birthdate as 9-6-1774, in Chatham Co. NC. I don't see that they have had a child named Samuel but it is always possible that the Quaker records I took their family from didn't list all of them (especially if they left the area). Samuel is a common name among my Stouts, it also possible that the Samuel you find is a cousin, if not a son. This Peter Stout (Charity's husband) is a grandson of Peter "the Quaker" Stout & Margaret Cypert. Some of them did go to TN.
